Marc P. Michalsky, MD, is Surgical Director for the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition at Nationwide Children's Hospital, a multidisciplinary center dedicated to the treatment of overweight and obese children and adolescents and an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Michalsky's team currently performs Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (LAPBAND) on morbidly obese adolescents. In addition, Dr. Michalsky serves as a clinical investigator on several National Institutes of Health (NIH) and industry-sponsored research initiatives examining outcomes following surgical weight reduction in the morbidly obese adolescent population.
