Susan Nittrouer, Ph.D is a professor and Director of Research in the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Her research interests focus on children and how they acquire the ability to recognize the phonetic-level structure of their native language. Nittrouer is currently the Associate Editor of The International Journal of Audiology and an active member of the Acoustical Society of America, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the A.G. Bell Association. She has authored numerous articles and has written a book, published in 2009 titled Early Development of Children with Hearing Loss.
